Would be nice if we could use start event forms more often, our issue is it's double the work.
It's obviously quicker to execute via a start event form in NAC but we can't use it alot. Would be nice because of the delay between new or edit start event workflows (15 - 60 seconds just to start - ugh). Would be nice if Nintex could figure out a way to replace Nintex Forms for Office 365 with a cloud version of it that is STILL synced to SharePoint list or library on new item or when an item is edited in the list/library.
I have hope for future development on this lol
I propose a cloud version for a few reasons:
We have to turn around and create a duplicated form in Nintex Forms for Office 365 each time business requirements result in the SharePoint default form not being a feasible option for their automation process or tool.
We have to hide the new button in each view to prevent users from adding items or do permissions on list and restrict add items or run script to hide new button from all views in the list since our trigger is through the online start event form.
Thank your for that explanation and it helps. Given the clarification, happy to let you know that we are currently in the process of evaluating form edit capabilities post submission in NAC. More updates to come in the near feature. Thanks for your input, as it give us more validation for desired customer outcomes.
Ok but this was for Nintex Automation Cloud Start Event Forms. We basically need a way on the start event forms to connect to a sharepoint list and add controls based on existing columns in list.
In addition, have that start event form have edit and display mode capabilities like 365 form does so we don't have to build another form for users to display from list or make edits.
We basically want a solution to NOT have to use 365 forms anymore!
Thank you very much for posting your feedback on for our review. At this time, we will not be adding this request to the near-term backlog, as we are focused on adding new capabilities in Nintex Automation Cloud Form. Please keep the feedback coming as it is critical for our longer-term planning.
