Currently files that are uploaded into a Task Form within NWC cannot be added to a File variable within the workflow designer as they're held as 'Collections' vs. 'Files'. Would be great if files from Task Forms acted as files throughout the rest of the workflow design.
Any updates on this? Will it be planned and available for release? This is a common issue for task management. I would say files are 50% of task management. In my opinion, this is an imperative feature for task management since we learned recently with failed workflows, that Outlook has file size limitations.
If you add files via hyperlinks from a SharePoint source, we have to go through extra loops and steps for security since users have to have, at minimum, read rights to the source - sometimes we cannot allow this due to business requirements or security risks. It would make the most sense if files are made available on TASKS since Nintex already provides a level of security on the tasks - only visible to task assignee(s).
Yes this would be very helpful so that we could easily and efficiently reference those files throughout the workflow in forms without having to create so many steps to pull them back in from the list item and loop through each!
this could be so useful with Branche by Stage, when including the Initiator for Rework ( Resubmission), many clients ask me if this is possible with nintex
