Nintex Automation Cloud's late May release introduced this new feature: The Generate document action now supports rich text values from Forms and SharePoint Online actions, allowing rich text formats to pass through to the generated document. Please note that not all formats are supported (text sizes, indentations); see the Generate document help topic for the full list of supported and excluded formats.
After two years, this important feature is still not implemented.
The added value of the digitalization of processes and thus also of document generation is reduced to absurdity here. Now I have to tell my customers that I cannot implement a large part of their document automation requirements. Please add this feature soon.
SUPER important to me. Our users paste in from Word and other document formats, and the docgen output at the end of the workflow is distributed out to the legislators to review before it comes to the floor. The legalese is hard enough to read already, dumping it out as plain text is awful.
We wish to use DocGen for standard legal letters, employment contract generation, position description document creation and a range of other use cases. While some of this is possible with plain text only it's complex, involves a lot of extra work and in some cases just not possible.
